3 arrested for drug offenses in connection to TABC shutdown of 2 Austin bars

According to the TABC, Club Casino and Zota's Night Club lost their liquor permits on March 8 after the month-long investigation.

AUSTIN, Texas — Two Austin bars are closing their doors after an investigation allegedly found the bars were involved with narcotics, drink solicitation and human trafficking.

According to the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC), Club Casino on South Congress Avenue and Zota's Night Club on Burleson Road lost their liquor permits on March 8 after the month-long investigation.

"This case is the result of outstanding police work on the part of TABC and our partner law enforcement agencies,” TABC Executive Director Bentley Nettles said. “It also shows just how important it is for victims of human trafficking to make their voices heard."

The Travis County Sheriff's Office (TCSO) made three arrests for drug-related offenses in connection to this operation. The three suspects arrested are: 28-year-old Jorge Manuel Salazar-Flores, 48-year-old Manuel Chavero-Gonzales and 44-year-old Danielle Dejesus Vasquez.

Anyone with information on possible human trafficking can contact TABC at 1-888-373-7888.

This case is still under investigation. Check back for updates.
