Angry Orchard Rock the Roots Festival postponed due to 'extreme' heat

The one-day music festival was originally scheduled to stop by Austin Saturday, but due to the forecasted "extreme" triple-digit heat, it is being postponed.

AUSTIN — Angry Orchards announced the Rock the Roots Festival has been postponed to September due to the "extreme" heat.

The one-day music festival was originally scheduled to stop by Austin Saturday, but due to the forecasted "extreme" triple-digit heat, it is being postponed. The festival is now scheduled for Sept. 15 at 2 p.m. at the Carson Creek Ranch.

All tickets currently held will be honored for this new date and refunds can be made, Angry Orchards said.

The Rock the Roots Festival is set to feature Sublime with Rome, Lupe Fiasco, Collie Buddz, G. Love and Special Sauce and The Original Wailers. The festival will also feature an Angry Orchard Arcade, lawn games and cider experiences.

General admission tickets are priced at $35 if they're purchased in advance and $50 if they purchased the day of the festival.
