AUSTIN, Texas — Austin police said on Friday that a body found on a Southwest Austin trail on Thursday is not suspicious and they are waiting on the autopsy results to reveal the cause of death.
There is still no word on the identity of the individual.
Austin Travis-County EMS and Austin Fire Department crews discovered a body at approximately 4400 West Gate Boulevard Thursday night.
ATCEMS tweeted that crews responded to a reported land rescue at approximately 4400 West Gate Blvd. at approximately 8:34 p.m.
It had been reported that there was a patient on a trail with a medical issue.
Medics obtained a "deceased on the scene" pronouncement at around 8:48 p.m. of a man in approximately his 30s.
The scene has been turned over to the Austin Police Department.
