AUSTIN, Texas — A fire is out after "multiple explosions" were reported during a dump truck fire in East Austin on Monday.
The Austin Fire Department (AFD) reported the fire just before 2:30 p.m. on Sendero Hills Parkway, near FM 969.
Officials said they received multiple calls about the dump truck, and possibly a wood chipper on fire, with explosions reported. The fire led to a response from a hazmat task force.
Thankfully, crews were able to put out the fire within the hour. No injuries were reported, and there was no immediate threat to homes or property.
AFD said crews would stay to extinguish hot spots, but no other information is available.
