Brrr ... Drop in temperature across Texas snags attention on social media

A big drop in temperatures to kick off the work week has grabbed the attention of Texans across the state and the cooler weather looks like it could be sticking around for a bit.

AUSTIN — The KVUE Weather Team had been talking about it for days, and from Sunday night into Monday morning, the highly anticipated cold front made it's way through the state of Texas. The temperatures behind the front would be over 30 degrees below what they were 24 hours prior.

With the flood of cold air, came a surge of social media posts as the state of Texas reacted to the big chill.

While some were not too happy for the big chill to arrive, others welcomed it.

Along with the colder air today, we had the extra amount of rain, making for pretty dreary conditions outside, and wet weather that may have slowed down your commute to work.

Whether you like the colder weather or not, it looks like it will be staying cooler for awhile. Find out if you will have to continue to wear the heavy jacket, and bring an umbrella throughout the next week, here.
