AUSTIN, Texas — The Austin Fire Department (AFD) said one person was injured in a fire involving “several vehicles and heavy equipment” in North Austin on Saturday afternoon.
The fire started in the 800 block of Ruby Drive, near Interstate 35 and East Braker Lane, AFD said around 1:50 p.m.
A tractor, several passenger vehicles and an 18-wheeler were on fire in a salvage yard, according to AFD. As of 2:24 p.m., crews had the fire under control and were working to extinguish hot spots.
Austin-Travis County EMS treated one person on the scene for an isolated burn injury.
At this time, it's unknown what caused the fire.
