AUSTIN — The Austin Police Department is investigating after a man was found dead near a creek in Downtown Austin on the morning of July 25. On Aug. 14, he was identified as Jack Woynarowski, 44.
Austin police said they were called out to Fifth and Sabine streets at 8:17 a.m. when a caller reported that there was a possible dead person in the area.
Authorities said they found a man unresponsive at the scene, and medics pronounced him deceased. Police said it is not believed foul play is involved.

The investigation is ongoing. The man's cause of death is pending a final autopsy report.
