Pflugerville police's new 'whodunit' webpage allows public to help solve crimes

According to the Pflugerville Police Department, since the creation of the page in July, they have seen more tips coming into the station.

PFLUGERVILLE, Texas — A tip from the public can help police find the suspect of a crime, which is why things are changing for the City of Pflugerville. They're starting to use a new web page called, "Whodunit," to allow the public to help them solve crimes.

"It makes the police department bigger because our eyes and ears are out in the street everywhere," said Jared Bruno, a sergeant with the Pflugerville Police Department.

Burno says that since the creation of the page in July, they have seen more tips coming into the station. The crimes that get put on the page are lower-level crimes, like criminal mischief and theft cases.

The idea is the public can go through the page when they have time, and if they recognize someone, they report the tip.

"The community is very supportive here. They're very proactive with law enforcement," Burno said. "You absolutely might recognize somebody, or you may have been there and you may have seen it happen. You may be a witness, but didn't realize that anything was going on at the time and you're like, 'Hey, I was there when that happened."

If you're interested in checking on the page you can find that here.
