Several train cars derail in Williamson County Saturday morning

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas — A train carrying gravel derailed in Williamson County, Texas, Saturday morning, according to Williamson County Sheriff Robert Chody.

The train derailed at 4:30 a.m. on County Road 201, Chody said.

Cody confirmed there were no injuries or hazardous material involved in the derailment. The Rail Road Commission of Texas and the Texas Department of Public Safety are investigating to determine the cause of the incident.
