AUSTIN — Two Texas Longhorns were named among USA Today's Freshman All-America football team.
Texas offensive lineman Samuel Cosmi and defensive back Caden Sterns received this high honor.
Cosmi started all 12 regular-season games for the Longhorns and was responsible for 57 knockdowns and 68 blocks for a first down or a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Sterns was named the Big 12's Defensive Freshman of the Year and was a first team All-Big 12 as well. Sterns made four interceptions, which tied for the most ever by a freshman in UT football history.
