Forecast: Rain and storms end this evening; chilly start for Thursday morning

Here are the latest updates from the KVUE Weather Team.

Wednesday afternoon brought hail producing storms to parts of Central Texas, especially over western Travis County, but now the rain and storms have all come to an end. The sky will continue to clear overnight, and temperatures will drop down to the 40s for the entire KVUE area by Thursday morning.

After a chilly start, the afternoon on Thursday will be absolutely beautiful with a sunny sky and afternoon highs in the mid to upper 70s. This will mark the beginning of a pretty impressive warming trend.

High temperatures will be in the low to mid 80s over the Easter weekend. We don't have any rain in the forecast on Easter, but it will be mostly cloudy and very humid. We're expecting a high temperature around 84 degrees in Austin.

The next chance for rain and storms rolls in early next week for Monday into Tuesday morning. It's too early for specifics, but we'll have more details in the coming days.
