Forecast: Warming up heading into Easter weekend

Here are the latest updates from the KVUE Weather Team.

Thursday afternoon has been absolutely beautiful across Central Texas with sunshine and temperatures warming well into the 70s. The warming trend will continue heading into Easter weekend and early next week.

Friday afternoon will be partly cloudy with high temperatures around 80, and then we stay in the low 80s for both Saturday and Easter Sunday. It won't rain this weekend, but we do expect a mostly cloudy sky and some very muggy conditions.

By Monday afternoon of next week temperatures will be closing in on 90 degrees ahead of a Monday night cold front. The front will bring a chance for scattered showers and storms Monday night. There will likely be a low end severe weather threat.

Temperatures will trend cooler for the middle of next week behind the cold front. Highs will likely be in the 70s.
