Former Hutto coach charged with sex assault of a child

A former teacher and coach at Hutto High School who admitted to having sex with a student has been arrested on a sex assault of a child charge.

A former teacher and coach at Hutto High School who admitted to having sex with a student has been arrested on a sex assault of a child charge.

According to an arrest affidavit, Jake Fenske, 26, was initially charged June 1 after a student reported she had had sex with Fenske on multiple occasions starting in March. The affidavit stated Fenske and the girl had sex “at least six times” in his apartment, his truck and in his classroom at Hutto High School.

Hutto ISD placed Fenske on administrative leave and accepted Fenske’s resignation on June 7. Fenske was arrested and posted bond on a charge of improper relationship between educator and student on June 3.

The victim and her mother contacted police on June 28, stating they found a note that read “5/2/1/6/1/4/3 Nothing has changed” on her car before they left for vacation the week prior. The victim said she knew Fenske wrote the note, citing the date they made their relationship official and "143" meaning "I love you." The victim provided the note to police.

Fenske was arrested July 11 on a felony charge of sexual assault of a child and was booked into the Williamson County Jail on $150,000 bond. Online records at the jail state he has posted bond and was released Tuesday.
