AUSTIN -- Gov. Greg Abbott tweeted Tuesday afternoon “big news” that had his followers speculating, but nobody guessed his news would be so golden.
Literally.
“We have a new First Puppy of Texas at the Governors Mansion,” Abbott tweeted along with a picture of himself, his wife Cecilia and the two golden retrievers.
Although the puppy doesn’t have an official name yet, the governor promised to have one later.
Twitter users suggested names such as Waffle or Syrup as a nod to Pancake, the unnamed pup’s older sister.
