Texas' favorite grocery store is going digital.

According to a report from our news partners at the Austin American-Statesman, San Antonio-based H-E-B will be acquiring Favor, an app-based delivery service.

H-E-B said it would be buying Favor, which is based in Austin, with a network of more than 50,000 runners across the state. These runners can deliver meals from restaurants, grocery stores and more throughout the day.

The report states that financial terms of the deal were not released and that Favor will become a completely owned H-E-B subsidiary. It will remain based in Austin with it's current CEO and president Jag Bath and all of its employees retained -- in addition to the likelihood that more Favor workers will be added in the coming months.

The Statesman reported that no immediate changes are planned for Favor's services and that app users will still be able to order deliveries from all of their favorite businesses.

H-E-B representatives told the Statesman that consumers won't initially see the grocery chain pushing Favor's services in its 400 stores, but H-E-B does plan to grow Favor along with themselves.
