SAN ANTONIO -- San Antonio Station 51 rescued a high-climbing tabby cat from a Loop 410 overpass Tuesday.
A team of Animal Care Officers and residents tried to coax the cat off the 20-foot high concrete but couldn't for several days, according to a Facebook post on the SAFD page.
"HUGE shout out and two paws up to our Animal Care Officers and SAFD Technical Rescue team from Fire Station 51," the post said.
The cat, named Dale by his rescuers, has a respiratory infection and is recuperating at a ACS vet clinic. It should be several weeks before he is ready for adoption, according to ACS.
