AUSTIN, Texas — This fall, you can book a direct flight to South Texas. Delta Air Lines will begin a nonstop service flight that connects Austin to Harlingen.
The flights will be available starting Oct. 7, 2024. Delta said it will complement its seasonal Minneapolis-St. Paul flight that runs October through March.
The Harlingen flight will be operated on an Embraer E-175 aircraft.
The flight to Harlingen will leave Austin at 10:45 a.m. and arrive at 12:06 p.m. The flight to Austin will leave Harlingen at 12:40 p.m. and arrive in Austin at 2:04 p.m.
Delta is also offering new services to Midland-Odessa and McAllen.
The airline's expansion in Austin includes more flights to Dallas, Boston and New York City, to name a few.
Harlingen, in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas, is the gateway to South Padre Island, a popular vacation destination.
