AUSTIN, Texas — Some of your favorite KVUE faces are moving to new roles starting July 27 as station leaders look to continue offering the best possible viewing experience to Central Texans.
Longtime Daybreak anchor Bryan Mays will join the evening lineup, alongside anchor Terri Gruca and Chief Meteorologist Erika Lopez at 5 p.m., and Quita Culpepper and Lopez at 6 p.m. and 10 p.m.
Anchor Mike Rush will join the vibrant morning team for the 5 a.m. and 6 a.m. hours of Daybreak alongside anchor Yvonne Nava and meteorologist Mariel Ruiz, as well as another familiar face.
Meteorologist Jason Mikell will transition from the Storm Team to his new role as 4:30 a.m. anchor and, when traffic picks back up again, traffic anchor. In the meantime, Mikell will contribute by anchoring and reporting within news segments. Mikell remains a skilled and degreed meteorologist, capable of joining Storm Team coverage in urgent weather situations.
Together, Rush, Mikell, Nava and Ruiz form a foursome of dynamic Daybreak personalities to help you get your day started with a smile.
Meteorologist Hunter Williams will pull double duty, weekend mornings and nights, while KVUE searches for a new member of the Storm Team.
