Jordan Darensbourg joins the KVUE Storm Team from our sister station KCEN in Temple, Texas. While at KCEN, he covered many crazy weather phenomena, including the February 2021 winter storm and the Salado EF3 tornado in April 2022.
He began his career at WDTV in Clarksburg, West Virginia, in December 2018 where he served as a morning meteorologist, covering different weather events including the region’s many winter storms and heaviest rainfall.
Jordan graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from Jackson State University and received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a broadcast emphasis from Mississippi State University. He is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists' Weather & Climate Task Force and the American Meteorological Society.
In his spare time, Jordan likes to hang out at Zilker Park, sample Texas barbeque, sing in his church choir, and watch his beloved Atlanta pro sports teams: the 2021 World Champion Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Hawks, Atlanta Falcons, and Atlanta United. As a soccer fan, he also supports Manchester United and Austin FC, too!
Jordan has Asperger's, which is a rare form of autism, and he uses this diagnosis to inspire others to go after whatever it is they set their mind to.
