Austin goat yoga studio to be featured on ABC's 'Shark Tank'

YOGA & GOGA will host a watch party on Sunday.

AUSTIN, Texas — This Sunday, Austin yoga studio “YOGA & GOGA” will be featured on ABC’s 'Shark Tank.'

The studio features regular yoga classes, along with yoga with goats or “Goga,” on the weekends at their Hill Country Galleria location.

The studio pitched the idea of a regular yoga studio with baby goats to the "sharks."

Rachael Phillips is the founder of the studio. She began offering the classes for a Hurricane Harvey fundraiser two years ago at the Lamar Union apartments in Downtown Austin.

Phillips then expanded from a few classes to a full-time studio.

“It makes a lot of people really happy,” she said. “You can't really help but laugh and smile while you're here. It's just, it’s so much fun to see people let go and have fun for an hour."

Phillips said the business has been going well since they began.

“Everything just kind-of exploded from there very quickly,” she said. “We didn’t really know it was going to be a full-time business. We didn’t really know what we were doing. But it grew really fast. So, it’s been going really well, we’ve been growing every year.”

Phillips is hosting a free yoga class and viewing party on Sunday at her yoga studio at the Hill Country Galleria at 12700 Hill Country Blvd S-115, Bee Cave, TX 78738.

The class begins at 3 p.m. Cocktails for the watch party begin at 7 p.m.

You can also catch the episode on KVUE at 9 p.m.
