'Cupid's Undie Run' supporting those affected by rare disorder happening Saturday

From 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., some Austinites will be taking to the streets in their underwear for "a 'brief', mile(ish) fun run" at 700 W Sixth Street.

AUSTIN, Texas — This Saturday, Cupid's Charity is holding its "Cupid's Undie Run" to support those affected by neurofibromatosis (NF).

From 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., some Austinites will be taking to the streets in their underwear for "a 'brief', mile(ish) fun run" at 700 W. Sixth St.

The event costs $45 and supports NF research through the Children's Tumor Foundation. NF is a rare, genetic tumor disorder that affects approximately one in every 3,000 births.

According to the event's website, the fundraising goal of $50,402 has been met and surpassed at more than $57,750 raised.

Registration and information about volunteering for the event can be found online through Cupid's Charity's website.
