Dua Lipa reps for Texas with custom Longhorns jersey at ACL

"See how loyal I am to you guys? That’s how much I love it here," she told the crowd at Zilker Park.

AUSTIN, Texas — It was a great Saturday for Texas fans, with a blowout win over Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry.

Part of an annual tradition, Longhorns fans gathered at the Austin City Limits Music Festival to watch the game in the Big Tent next to the Miller Lite stage.

This year, even the headliners got into the spirit.

English-Albanian pop star Dua Lipa closed out the American Express Stage on Saturday night of Weekend 2 while donning a bit of burnt orange, according to KVUE media partner the Austin American-Statesman.

She celebrated the big win by rocking a personalized “Lipa” Texas No. 1 jersey for one song, to big cheers from festivalgoers.

“What do you think?” she asked the crowd at Zilker Park. “See how loyal I am to you guys? That’s how much I love it here.”

That No. 1 jersey led her into song “Be the One.”

“I love spending time and enjoying the city and getting to know it,” Lipa said. “The drinks are good and the food is good and the vibes are amazing.”

The singer has clearly been enjoying her time around Austin during the festival.

The Friday before her Weekend 1 performance, she visited East Austin barbecue spot La Barbecue and made a viral TikTok video with a personal drink recipe – Diet Coke, pickle juice and jalapeño juice.

Lipa also visited Mexican seafood restaurant Este and posed for a photo with the restaurant’s staff.

She completed the night with some two-stepping at the historic South Lamar honky-tonk Broken Spoke.

“HONKY TONK HEAVEN,” she said.

Austin played a role in the early days of Lipa’s career, when she was still an emerging artist performing at South by Southwest in 2016. At that time, the singer was about to release her debut self-titled album and had an evening set at the now-closed Hype Hotel on East Fifth Street.

Lipa wasn't the only performer in burnt orange at ACL this year. Texas singer Leon Bridges also took to the American Express Stage in a No. 1 jersey during his performance on Weekend 1.
