Post-Valentine's events

TX Emo Club has two events planned for the lovers out there this weekend. Pop punk fans can dust off their Vans and time-warp back to Warped Tour with "Still Into You: Paramore Valentine's Dance Party" at Empire Control Room & Garage on Friday, and Swifties can attend "Lover: Taylor Swift Night" at Swan Dive on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Beyhive members can stop by "Crazy in Love: A Valentine's Tribute to Beyoncé" at Lefty's Brick Bar, also on Saturday.

If you're looking for something a little more relaxed, Mozart's Coffee Roasters is hosting an "After-Valentine's Weekend Experience" with music from Dave Scher on Friday and Saturday. Or you can catch a screening of "Romeo + Juliet" at Hotel Magdalena on Friday.

TXRD tryouts

Looking for a new outlet for your frustration that is also a lot of fun? TXRD is holding a second day of spring tryouts at its "Thunderdome" facility in Buda, located at 1131 S. Loop 4, on Saturday from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The organization said all women, female-identifying and nonbinary or gender-nonconforming skaters over the age of 21 are welcome to try out.

Once you've tried out, you can catch a TXRD bout Sunday at the Palmer Event Center. The Cherry Bombs and Holy Rollers face off starting at 5 p.m.
