AUSTIN, Texas — The weekend is upon us and, as always, there are a ton of things going on in the Austin area! From bull riding to live music for a good cause, there's no shortage of fun activities happening over the next few days.
Here’s a breakdown of just some of the events you can attend this weekend.
PBR Team Series: Gambler Days
PBR Gambler Days returns to the Moody Center this weekend, where the Austin Gamblers will represent the Capital City in the PBR Camping World Team Series.
The 3-day, action-packed team tournament features bull riding, of course, but also concerts, a western lifestyle expo and more. Single-day tickets are available for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and 3-day tickets are also available.
When and where: through Sunday at Moody Center
Le Garage Sale
Le Garage Sale is held twice a year and features more than 100 local and independent retailers and designers. The event says its vendors "carry the season’s on-trend designs and showcase a diverse and mindful compilation of goods for women, men, children and home." Tickets can be purchased online.
When and where: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Palmer Events Center. VIP/Pre Shop is from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. both days.
MeadowFest
On Saturday, the Far Out Lounge & Stage will host Meadowfest, a concert for mental health awareness celebrating the life of local teen Meadow Goodman, who lost her battle with mental illness last August.
The mini-festival will feature a lineup of musical performances by Grupo Fantasma, Superfònicos, Nemegata, The Point and School of Rock, with additional performers and speakers to be announced. Organizers say two local nonprofits that provide mental health resources, Out Youth Austin and the SIMS Foundation, will receive 100% of the proceeds after event expenses have been met.
