AUSTIN, Texas — The weekend is here and, as always, there are a ton of things going on in the Austin area! From an event celebrating cheese to another honoring a local artist, there's no shortage of fun activities happening over the next few days.

Here’s a breakdown of just some of the events you can attend this weekend.

Cheese Your Own Adventure!

Who doesn't love cheese? This Saturday, you can celebrate National Cheese Lover's Day at Blue Owl Brewing with a special cheese and beer pairing. Attendees can choose their own adventure with a flight of any four cheeses and a pour of their choice of one of Blue Owl's sour beers. There will also be worksheets for cheese connoisseurs to write down tasting notes and feedback.

When: Saturday starting at noon

Hi, How Are You Day 2024

Hi, How Are You Day is here! This year's event is the sixth annual celebration of the life and legacy of artist Daniel Johnston. The event serves as both a tribute and a call to action to encourage conversations around mental health. This year's event will be held at the Paramount Theatre and will feature performances by Robin Pecknold of Fleet Foxes and Valerie June.

When: Doors at 6 p.m. Sunday

Where: Paramount Theatre, located at 713 Congress Ave.

3M Half Marathon

The 3M Half Marathon will be held this Sunday. The 13.1-mile "downhill to downtown course" is described as a "fast and fun race fueled by live music and cheering fans." You can check out the race weekend schedule and a map of the course online, and registration is still open for runners who wish to participate.

When: Sunday starting at 7:30 a.m.

Where: Stonelake Boulevard
