SAN MARCOS, Texas — Rough waters for Float Fest.
The Guadalupe County Commissioners Court voted Thursday at a special meeting to deny a permit for the 6th annual San Marcos music festival.
The festival was scheduled for Friday, July 19 through Sunday, July 21 at Cool River Ranch in Martindale. The promoters of the festival requested a permit allowing 25,000 attendees per day.
Some concerns the commissioners discussed during the meeting were traffic congestion in the area and noise complaints.

The commissioners court also denied Float Fest's permit last year, but later reached a settlement with the festival to allow 20,000 guests.
