ORLANDO, Fla. — Universal Orlando Resort is getting a shake-up in 2025 with a new theme park, Universal Epic Universe.
The addition of Universal Orlando's fourth theme park is giving the resort a new vacation spot with more than 50 attractions, shopping and dining experiences.
At the heart of Universal Epic Universe is Celestial Park; featuring acres of rolling gardens, chasing waterways and strolling pathways all inspired by astronomical and mythological features.
"It's where we put the park back in theme park," said Mark Woodbury, Chairman & CEO of Universal Destination & Experiences in a statement.
Here are some of the new exhibits park visitors can experience in Celestial Park:
- Starfall Racers: Roller-coaster fans can enjoy a dual-launch racing ride that sends guests to the skies aboard comets in a race to see who’s the fastest. With speeds up to 62 mph and heights up to 133 feet along 5,000 feet of track, it is the park's most thrilling coaster experience, according to a press release.
- Astronomica: Get ready for a splash in a wet-play area that is also a giant compass rose to other areas inside the park, with crystal blue fountains that dance around guests.
- The Blue Dragon Pan-Asian Restaurant: When you are hungry, dine across Asia and enjoy authentic Chinese, Japanese and Thai food in a full-service restaurant decorated with neon dragons and ethereal lanterns.
Celestial Park also serves as a gateway to explore four additional worlds in the Universal Epic Universe:
- The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Ministry of Magic: Guests can experience a different side of the wizarding world in an all-new land that blends 1920s wizarding Paris from the Harry Potter spin-off "Fantastic Beasts" with the iconic British Ministry of Magic from the original series.
- Super Nintendo World: Nintendo fans can enter the iconic green pipe and discover the worlds of their favorite characters like Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach and Donkey Kong.
- How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk: Visitors can soar with dragons and take part in adventures based on the "How to Train Your Dragon" film series.
- Dark Universe: Witness the experiments of Dr. Victoria Frankenstein in a land where monsters walk around in a world mystery.
Universal Epic Universe is also home to the new Universal Helios Grand Hotel. The design of the hotel is to have heavens and Earth unite – with 500 rooms, amazing views and an entrance right into the theme park.
"Epic Universe represents a tremendous addition, almost doubling in size, of Universal Orlando Resort," Woodbury said. "This gives us the opportunity to bring the people to Universal Orlando for an entire week of the most incredible experiences they can imagine."
