You could score $10 'Hamilton' tickets through digital lottery

The Broadway hit is about to stop in Austin, and you could get tickets at a steep discount.

AUSTIN, Texas — Austin's highly anticipated "Hamilton" performances are just around the corner, and you could get tickets at a discount.

The Broadway hit which combines the worlds of hip-hop and our founding father Alexander Hamilton is stopping in Austin from May 28 through June 16 at the Bass Concert Hall.

In a press release from Lexus Broadway in Austin, the organizers announced that 40 $10 tickets will be sold for each performance as part of a digital lottery. The digital lottery will open at 10 a.m. Sunday, May 26 for tickets to the Tuesday, May 28 performance. The remaining digital lotteries will begin two days before each performance.

Here's how it will work.

Download the Hamilton app or click here to register. Each lottery will open at 10 a.m. two days before the performance and close at 9 a.m. the day before the performance. Everyone will be notified whether they won or not via email or an alert on their phone at around 10 a.m. the day before the performance.

Each winner can buy up to two tickets.
