AUSTIN, Texas — Kevin Smith's fictional restaurant, Mooby's, is coming to Austin as a pop-up for five days.
Mooby's is the fictional restaurant featured in movies such as "Dogma," "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" and "Clerks II." The restaurant pokes fun at fast-food restaurants such as McDonald's and Burger King.
The fast-food restaurant will be found at 3TEN ACL LIVE at 310 Willie Nelson Blvd. from May 10 through May 15. Food and beer served at the pop-up will come from Austin favorites Wholly Cow Burger and Independence Brewing Co.
Each ticket includes a "Mooby's Meal." You get to select a "Moo Main" from Wholly Cow Burgers along with a side from Salt Lick. "Moo Mains" include a choice of a burger, a vegan burger, a chicken sandwich or a vegan brat from Wholly Cow, according to Austin Eater. For sides, Austin Eater said you can choose from “Hater Totz” or “Onion Rings to Rule Them All."
"Mooby's soda," "Mooby's beer" from Independence Brewing Co., additional Salt Lick sides and desserts can be ordered in advance or while picking up.
Vegan options are available, as Smith had a massive heart attack in 2018 after performing a show in California.
There will also be plenty of Instagram-worthy photo ops at the pop-up.
In order to score a spot, you'll have to make a reservation. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, April 21, at 11 a.m. You can reserve times for up to four people. You can book here.
