Cancer patient ties the knot at Georgetown hospital chapel

The couple has been planning to get married for years, but they decided with their current life circumstances they didn't want to wait any longer.

A cancer patient got married Wednesday night inside a Georgetown hospital chapel.

Brandy Cisneros is a patient at St. David’s Georgetown Hospital. She has stage three ovarian cancer. She and her longtime partner Mario Orona have been planning to get married for years, but they decided with the currently life circumstances they didn't want to wait any longer.

They never thought they'd get married like this, but with the groom's cousin officiating the wedding and a room full of family and friends, they finally got hitched.

“It means a lot because if anything happens to me I want to make sure we've taken the right steps for our kids for ourselves," said Cisneros. "It's been way to long so I’m glad we did it,” said Cisneros.

The couple has five children together. They’re now looking forward to a honey moon and a vacation.
