AUSTIN, Texas — Enoch is a 13-year-old boy in the eighth grade who is counting down the days until he's able to find a forever family.
Originally from California, Enoch first entered into foster care there when he was three. Then at five, he was adopted by a family until he was 12. He moved to Texas with his adoptive family, then reentered the foster care system.
Now he lives in a group home with other boys his age who are in foster care.
KVUE's Hannah Rucker met up with Enoch at Pinballz Lake Creek to play games, ride go-karts and just have fun.
"From foster home to foster home to foster home," Enoch said. "It's just been messed up, I guess."
Enoch's hopes for a forever family are very simple.
"Just someone who cares, basically," Enoch said.
He said he dreams of going on a vacation with a family and shopping. He also loves eating different foods and trying new restaurants.
"I love seafood, Mexican and Italian," Enoch said.
He also loves playing football and dreams of becoming a body builder.

KVUE launched the Forever Families segment with Partnerships for Children (PFC) in June 2020 to highlight children in the Heart Gallery of Central Texas who need secure and permanent families. Every day, there are nearly 1,000 children waiting to get adopted in Central Texas, according to PFC.
Editor's note: The children who are in the Heart Gallery program and featured in KVUE's Forever Families segments are children who have had every effort made on their behalf to connect them with family or others in their community to provide options for permanent, adoptive homes. Through no fault of their own, that hasn’t happened yet, and so in partnership with the Department of Family and Protective Services, we collaborate to bring awareness to KVUE viewers about these children in the hopes of finding them permanency before they age out.
