Balloon release held to honor Austin bombing victim Draylen Mason

The release was part of the Austin Urban Music Festival Block Party presented by Soultree Collective.

AUSTIN, Texas — A balloon release was held Thursday to honor Austin bombing victim Draylen Mason.

The release was part of the Austin Urban Music Festival block party presented by Soultree Collective.

The party was held at the African-American Cultural & Heritage Facility at 912 East 11th Street from 7 to 10 p.m. Thursday night. The release occurred at about 7:30 p.m.

Aside from the release, the party also featured performances by Street Disciples, Jed-I, the Texas Empowerment Academy, Kya Monee, Soulunique, AYUMA and Rock Soul Collective, as well as music spun by DJ Pat Love.
