BERTRAM, Texas — Someone in Central Texas has fuller pockets after claiming their prize from the Texas Lottery!
The lucky Burnet resident claimed the top prize worth $1 million from a scratch ticket after playing the lottery's $1,000,000 Gold Rush game.
According to the lottery, the winner bought the ticket from the Bertram Grocery along State Highway 29 in Bertram and has decided to remain anonymous.
The lottery says it's the first of four top prizes worth $1 million to be claimed in the game. There was also a South Texas resident who claimed $1 million on Monday after buying a scratch ticket for a different game at H-E-B.
There must be something about October because it's been a lucky month for several Texans.
