AUSTIN, Texas — Another Austin restaurant is closing for good.
Full English, a British-owned family business, has been serving up all-day British breakfast, teas and coffees, sweets and more off of Menchaca Road for 10 years.
But now the owners say, though they fought to stay open, they just couldn't survive the coronavirus pandemic.
"I think we put our all into this, and we tried to keep it open and now we know that it's time to move on," Mabel Bachini said.
Full English, which is currently open for takeout, will serve its last meal on Sunday, July 19. But the owners said they plan to keep the restaurant's social media pages running to keep up with former customers.
Full English joins a growing list of Austin establishments that have been forced to permanently close due to the effects of COVID-19, from music venues to restaurants and a rideshare company.
