AUSTIN, Texas — KVUE wants to help “Keep Austin Local” by highlighting the local businesses, events and people that make Austin special.
On Wednesday, KVUE stopped by Anderson’s Coffee, a spot that has been around since 1972.
The owner, Jamie Anderson, worked with Alfred Peet of Peet’s Coffee, who inspired him in addition to the founders of Starbucks.
Anderson said it was slow-going at first but he's proud they are still going strong after 50 years.
“The basis for our business is that we buy top-quality green coffee and do our own custom roasting. We then give great customer service and advice,” said Anderson.
They ship coffee locally and coast to coast, and are open to the public for in-store shopping. In the store, you can find coffee beans, as well as coffee and tea accessories including coffee mugs, coffee bean grinders, tea kettles and more.
Anderson’s Coffee is requiring masks to enter the store, and their staff is fully vaccinated.
You can find Anderson’s Coffee at 1601 West 38th #2 in Jefferson Square, or online here.
