AUSTIN, Texas — KVUE wants to help “Keep Austin Local” by highlighting the local businesses, events and people that make Austin special.
On Monday, KVUE stopped by Parts & Labour, a shop on South Congress Avenue that’s been around for 18 years.
Parts & Labour has the mission of providing a space to showcase the talents of Texas-based artists and makers.
The store features creations from Texas makers including jewelry, clothing, prints and more. The shop has hosted over 1,000 makers and small businesses.
The shop's owner, Lizelle Villapando, is a former maker. In 2020, she added another mission to Parts & Labour: to create space and elevate makers of the BIPOC community.
