AUSTIN, Texas — KVUE wants to help “Keep Austin Local” by highlighting the local businesses, events and people that make Austin special.
On Monday, KVUE stopped by Pikopye’s Town, a unique indoor play town in South Austin.
Pikopye’s Town was started by Austin mom Leah Reed. She wanted a place to be able to work while she let her child play, but she had a hard time finding a place, so she started one herself.
The play town is available for private or semi-private play. Time slots can be reserved for two-hour sessions throughout the day. After each session, the toys are sanitized and put back to their place for the next session.
Pikopye’s is named after Reed’s son’s imaginary friend. It's an indoor play town featuring a fire station, police station, bakery, doctor’s office, salon, restaurant and more. The toys are set up and ready for kids to play as soon as they arrive. The space also offers themed birthday parties.
You can find Pikopye’s Town at 2919 Menchaca Road, Ste. 205, or online here.
