KYLE, Texas — Amazon is continuing its investment in Central Texas, now adding Kyle to its list of local cities where it has facilities.
On Monday, the Plum Creek community, the City of Kyle and Majestic Realty announced that Amazon has leased a 307,840-square-foot facility in Kyle Crossing Business Park. There, it plans to open up a sortation center later this year, which will employ more than 200 people.
Developed and owned by Majestic Realty Co., the 40-acre business park is located in the Plum Creek master-planned community west of Interstate 35 and just 20 miles south of Austin.
“Demand for high-quality industrial space has surged along with online sales in the first half of this year,” said Majestic Senior Vice President Brian Masterman. “Kyle Crossing offers brand new facilities in a highly accessible location that is perfectly situated to serve two of the nation’s fastest-growing metro areas.”
The latest facility joins a handful of other new Amazon locations, including recently announced properties in Buda, Pflugerville and Round Rock.
“More and more businesses are discovering that Kyle has everything they need from a great workforce and schools to affordable living options for their workers,” added Kyle Mayor Travis Mitchell. “We’re excited to welcome Amazon to our community.”
