Austin's Moody Center looking to hire more than 600 job seekers

The venue will host its inaugural concert on April 20.

AUSTIN, Texas — Weeks before its first concert, Austin's newest multi-purpose venue is looking to hire more than 600 people.

Business Wire reports that Indeed has announced itself as a founding partner of the Moody Center. The job site company and the new venue are partnering to hire more than 650 job seekers through a combination of local hiring events and Indeed's Virtual Hiring Platform.

The Moody Center's hiring events began with an in-person job fair on Feb. 10, at the Frank Erwin Center – the venue the Moody Center is set to replace. Since the initial launch, Business Wire reports that Indeed has already helped the Moody Center hire more than 200 people through one in-person kickoff hiring event, followed by weekly virtual hiring events that will continue through early April.

"Austin has been Indeed’s home base since the very start, and we are proud to expand our investment here," Indeed CEO Chris Hyams said. "As a founding partner and hiring partner for Moody Center, we're helping hundreds of local job seekers find meaningful work locally, as the venue brings new entertainment options and sustained economic development to Austin."

Job seekers can click here to see the open roles at the Moody Center and RSVP to the next virtual hiring event that will be held on Indeed's Virtual Hiring Platform on Tuesday, April 7. Jobs include guest services host, bartender, concessions cashier, dishwasher, cook and more.

As a founding partner of the Moody Center, Business Wire reports that Indeed is granted significant naming opportunities within the venue, including the "Indeed Club," which will offer a private bar and elevated culinary experience for roughly 1,000 Concert Members. Business Wire also reports that the club will feature original mural artwork from San Antonio/Austin-based artist Alannah Tiller.

John Mayer will play the first concerts at the Moody Center on Wednesday, April 20 and 21. Other artists scheduled to perform in the venue's opening month include Bon Jovi, Justin Bieber, George Strait, Willie Nelson & Family and the Randy Rogers Band.

In addition to serving as a concert venue, the Moody Center will be the home of the University of Texas at Austin's men's and women's basketball programs.

According to Business Wire, during its first year of operation, the venue is expected to host over 150 events and have over 1 million patrons in attendance.
