AUSTIN, Texas — Housing inventory in the Austin metro area has reached a high that hasn't been seen in over a decade.
In May, the Austin-Round Rock-Georgetown Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) saw a 12.8% decline in closed listings with 4.9 months of available inventory – a level the area hasn’t reached in 13 years, according to the latest Central Texas Housing Report released by Unlock MLS.
The report also showed that active listings went up 37.7% year-over-year, giving homebuyers more flexibility and options when looking for a home.
