WIMBERLEY, Texas — 3D printing developer ICON is bringing a 3D printed housing development to Wimberley.
The homes can range from 2,800 square feet to 4,000 square feet, with four to five bedrooms. They're now available for pre-sale starting at more than $800,000.
ICON previously built 3D printed homes in Georgetown and Marfa.
Officials with the company said the Wimberley Springs homes will be energy efficient and sustainably built.
“Currently under construction, these high-performance, energy-efficient homes leverage ICON’s technology platform including digital architecture, design, robotic construction, low-carbon building material and proprietary software tools including a digital real estate platform for sales,” the company said in a statement.
The homes will be located approximately three miles from the Wimberley town center and near Cypress Creek.
