ROUND ROCK, Texas — There is more fun to discover at Kalahari Resorts and Conventions.
The resort expanded its outdoor waterpark by adding a children's play area with nine new slides, an adults-only swim-up bar and a 900-foot Adventure River. Kids of all ages can start enjoying them now. The park opened these new attractions to the public on June 16.
According to the resort's press release, the new children's area will be known as Bug's Burrow and will feature a zero-entry pool, swings and nine bug-themed slides. For the adults, the resort added a new 1,100 square-foot swim and walk-up bar called Thirsty Turtle.
The Adventure River features a "beach-like" zero-depth entry with half of the ride featuring waves to push people through a winding path, while the other half is a tranquil lazy river.

Our newly expanded outdoor waterpark offers even more activities for guests this summer, from our new ‘Bugs Burrow’ children’s area to our one-of-a-kind Adventure River; this is sure to be the best summer yet.”
Kalahari Resorts and Conventions opened in Round Rock on Nov. 12, 2020. Since its opening, the City says it has surpassed initial revenue estimates. Officials estimated the resort would bring in an annual net total of $4.7 million. However, the City says the company has brought in over $5 million for the past year.
