Developer seeking to create 332-acre subdivision near Lockhart: Report

The "Bollinger development," which is reportedly in early stages of negotiation, would potentially be located on a curve of FM 2720 near Sundance Court.

MAXWELL, Texas — A Bastrop-based real estate development firm is seeking to create a 332-acre subdivision just outside Lockhart, according to a report from the Austin Business Journal (ABJ).

The report stated that Ranch Road Development LLC gave a presentation to the Caldwell County Commissioners Court on Nov. 23 about the proposed development. The "Bollinger development," which is reportedly in the early stages of negotiation, would potentially be located on a curve of FM 2720 near Sundance Court.

According to ABJ, the developer says they plan to "create an upscale residential subdivision, but could potentially incorporate some commercial or industrial components based on other activity in the area."

Because the negotiations are in their early stages, a timeline for the project and specific details on how many homes would be in the subdivision are not known.

"It’s a great piece of property and it has more [topography] than we usually see in Caldwell County," Miller told ABJ. "We’ll try to give it a little more Texas Hill Country flavor in the master plan."
