AUSTIN, Texas — Galen College of Nursing plans to open a campus near Austin, Texas, the school announced. And as early as Sept. 30, students can start the first term at the campus.
The college, deemed one of the largest nursing educators in the U.S., made the announcement on July 28. Galen also has campuses located in San Antonio; Cincinnati; Hazard, Kentucky; Louisville, Kentucky; Miami; and Tampa Bay, Florida.
The 26,000-square-foot Austin campus will be located at 1201 W. Louis Henna Blvd. near Round Rock. Three nursing programs will be offered at the Austin campus, including the following:
- Three-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Vocational Nursing (VN) program
- Licensed Vocational Nursing to Associate Degree in Nursing Bridge (LVN to ADN Bridge)
Online courses for RN to BSN and MSN programs are also available.
On Sept. 30, the first term for the BSN program is set to start, and on Jan. 3, the first terms for the LVN and LVN to ADN programs are scheduled to begin.
Galen became part of HCA Healthcare in 2020, and this Austin campus marks the second new campus since doing so. Galen also announced a new campus in Miami.
