AUSTIN, Texas — A new condo project is coming to the Bouldin Creek neighborhood in South Austin.
According to KVUE’s media partners at the Austin American-Statesman, developer Intracorp is planning a four-story building on South First Street called One Oak.
It will have 106 units, storefronts and rooftop penthouses. The development will be built on the former site of Slackerville, a complex of quirky businesses, studios and tiny homes first established in 1979.
Construction is set to start early next year. Residents are expected to begin moving in in 2023. Units are expected to be priced from the $400,000s to $1 million and up, according to the Statesman.
Former property owner Ari Rastegar will reportedly keep an interest in the profits of the project after selling the 2.7-acre lot to Intracorp. The estimated cost of the project has not been disclosed.
One Oak will include eight storefronts on the first floor, 88 homes on the second and third floors and 10 penthouses on the fourth floor, known as the Canopy Collection.
