AUSTIN, Texas — A new way to navigate San Marcos is now available.
On Dec. 20, FM 110 officially opened to the public, with the new road designed to serve as an alternative to I-35 in the ever-growing San Marcos.
The road, which stretches from Yarrington Road on the north terminus to SH 80 in the south, is comprised of two travel lanes and shoulders, as well as railroad crossings. The shoulders will be bordered on either side by grade-separated crossings.
The roughly $39 million project was funded by Hays County, the City of San Marcos and TxDOT.
