AUSTIN, Texas — The development team behind an office park planned for East Austin has shared new details, according to Community Impact.
Springdale Green, an office campus located off Springdale Road near Airport Boulevard, will center around two six-story office towers with around 872,500 square feet of rentable space. Amenities will include a 23,000-square-foot fitness center, an 18,000-square-foot conference center and 36,000 square feet of "garden-like" terraces throughout, Community Impact reported.
"Springdale Green represents a new type of office campus integrated within the fabric of the neighborhood, offering unique outdoor spaces that promote productivity, health and wellbeing," Janette D'Elia, chief operating officer at property owner Jay Paul Company, said in a statement to Community Impact. "The campus design reflects the eclectic spirit and creativity of East Austin while prioritizing sustainability with a number of environmental restoration efforts for the surrounding landscape."
Springdale Green will include a parking garage with dozens of electric vehicle charging stations and storage for hundreds of bicycles. The majority of the property, over 19 acres, will house newly restored natural areas, nature and jogging trails, a boardwalk and designated sports and activity spaces.
Community Impact reported that the Austin City Council approved the rezoning of the property earlier this month and that, ahead of the council's final vote, nearby neighbors spoke out against the planned development.
Site work is now underway. Springdale Green is expected to be completed by late 2023.
