AUSTIN, Texas — Work is officially underway for a new, $2 billion development in the northwestern portion of Austin in Williamson County.
According to a report from KVUE's news partners at the Austin American-Statesman, developers have started working on the first phase of the project with a 306-unit apartment complex that is expected to be wrapped up in 2024.
The entire development is set to rise up over the next 10 to 15 years with 2,500 condominium and apartment units, 2.6 million square feet of office space, 30 acres of green space, two hotels, and 200,000 square feet of retail, restaurant, community and cultural spaces.
The developer for the project has been identified as Inspire Development.
According to Inspire, this first apartment complex has been dubbed Eden. It will include one-, two- and three-bedroom units ranging from 672 to 1,511 square feet.
The development, located at Texas 45 and West Parmer Lane, is about two miles northwest of the new Apple campus.
