Former site of Long's Vacuum on South Congress purchased, to become mixed-use project

CSA Realty Group will build a mixed-use project with retail and office space on the land, according to the Austin American-Statesman.

AUSTIN, Texas — Our partners with the Austin American-Statesman have reported that Austin-based CSA Realty Group has purchased three parcels of land on South Congress -- including the lot once owned by the Long family, the operators of Long's Vacuum Cleaner Co.

CSA Realty Group will build a mixed-use project with retail and office space on the land, which is located just north of Live Oak Street, according to the Statesman.

In addition to the lot Long's Vacuum was once located on, the rest of the land CSA Realty Group purchased is currently home to a house, Tsunami Cycles and Well Groomed barber shop.

This is just the latest in series of changes that have come to South Congress recently.

Other projects currently underway, according to the Statesman, are: Music Lane, a $55 million mixed-use project; Soho House, a members-only social club; the Muse at SoCo, a four-story project that will house office and retail space; and the Magdalena, an 86-room hotel.
