PFLUGERVILLE, Texas — Love is in the air, and so is flour!
Sugar cookies can be a great Valentine's Day treat, and Cafe 1 by Chef Juan in Pflugerville has been serving up some of the tastiest cookies in Central Texas for over a year now.
Chef Juan was kind enough to show KVUE Daybreak's Bryan Mays what goes into making the perfect Valentine's Day cookies.
A perfect mix of the right dough, flour, sugar, eggs and vanilla, and you can make these delicious sugar cookies for your loved ones. Chef Juan actually uses Mexican Vanilla, which is what gives his cookies that special flavor.
And a sugar cookie wouldn't be the same without its icing!
And boy is the icing at Cafe 1 royal. It is made with powered sugar and egg whites mixed to the perfect consistency. Once it's ready, you can add any food coloring you like to make those cookies a Valentine's treat.
